By Jayakishore BayadiYet again, it’s been very long time since I interacted with you guys! Even I haven’t writen any thing exclusive for my blog. I just copied the stuff from here and there to make “look like as if it’s an article” to post it here! Well, you know one thing? I began blogging to explore my self. And to express “The exploration(!)”in words and to dipict the things which excites me and triggers my thoughts. I wanted to and want to do blogging regularly. But I don’t know why every day, I end up in, “hey man…let’s do it tomorrow!”
There is a reason for such tomorrow syndromes. As you all know, Bangalore really sucks folks! The vehicular traffic, pollution, work pressure makes you feel like you can’t do any thing you want unless you are destined to do it! Obviously, or perhaps you all know and might have been experiencing the same in your respective professional lives.— It’s the “Time factor” which is turning to be an impediment to do my own special things. Some times, I believe it’s just bemoaning on my own for not able to do the things and to conceal myself from a kind of insecured feeling, as my slothfulness be ‘one of the’ biggest reason for not executing my own things effectively within available time frame!
I have an IT friend who keeps lamenting on and on. “See, I have to get up at 7pm to rerach the office at 9.30am. In the evening I leave the office at 8.30 (Normally!)and reach home at 9.45pm or 10 some times. Then, ofcourse, I eat, drink…watch TV..tired and will go to bed. Where is the time to enjoy or for entertainment? Life has gone stressfull and humdrum always. There is no thrill despite getting a bomb. Stress factor is barring the creativity at work. Coding, the work what I do in the office, I believe is nothing less than a clerical work. Not only that, it’s monotounous, a kind of boring, stressfull, yet ishould say it’s enjoyable if you have a liking towards it. Ofcourse, I like it. But I don’t like just coding you know…Iam not married to my company…yaar. I wanna read, write and even blog…There is no void in my mind other than codes nowadays! Literally, I eat-sleep-dream codes these days…!”
May be, this is how the life of any bachelor techie or a professional who work for a corporate, living in the city moves on everyday. He always hates going to office. He dislikes the days named Monday to Friday. Feeling antipathy towards work, detesting the boss, peers and tightfisted customers is his mundane routine. When weekends come, he says “Thank god..it’s Sunday..” But, it’s worth mentioning, he still performs his work admirably, atleast for the sake of surviving in the job!
I wonder some times, is this the kind of life we wanted to live? Or why our lives just going out of control in this so called hell, filled with always scampering creatures, who doesn’t have time for their own..let alone for others! May be this is not the new thing Iam writing on. But some how it deals with every NEW city dwellers life and happenings around him.
Now, listen to my another friend, who has the routine similar to my lamenting friend. But a little divergence reflects in his ever sparkling face whenever I meet him. We named him as “God of workoholics”(I believe if you are always happy, then you are God). He works a lot and in the mean time he enjoys it immensely. Amusingly, whenever he gets time he leaves Bangalore to some hilly stations like Melukote, Madikeri, Ooty or Pondy to recharge himself! He is a great voyager as well. Interestingly, he is also writing a book on trekking, which will be out in next six months time. Iam not permitted to tell who he is, but I can promise, I’ll write about his book in this space by the end of this year.
He says, “Every person is not fortunate enough to achieve what they loved or wanted. To illustrte this with a beguiling example, “You may love a girl. But she may not be interested in you…even if she is interested, she may not be interested in marrying you!”
Yet, life should move ahead right? “Hence,you need to accept all such heartbreaking things which come and go in our life span. So, say, you’ll marry a girl after. Now, to make your life happier you’ll need to love her from deep heart. This is even true for her as well. Now, apply the same analogy to work life as well. Easily, you’ll get the answer.”
So, even then if you really wanna get rid off the things, you should be ready for “Annulment” as well. It may look like a simple solution.But sadly such things are becoming common nowadays! In workplace as well as in personal space. Nevertheless, do you think you’ll be happy afterwards? Will your search for happiness end there?
Indeed a trillion dollar question!
Iam still wandering to get the right answer.
